Design Challenge

For this Waiamao residence in Upper Palolo, this Client looked to blend fuse a Bali Aesthetic. The challenge was to create a separate dwelling that still attached to the existing building on site to create the appearance of a single residence.

The landscape presented a very dynamic geography such that I was able to cantilever the residence out over the canopy below giving the feeling from the interior of floating amongst the trees.
